Royal Dornoch

Dornoch, Scotland TBD

Golf on this site dates to the 1600s, and the design of the current championship course is credited to Old Tom Morris. Dornoch is the birthplace of legendary architect Donald Ross and the Scotsman drew inspiration for his patented inverted-saucer greens from the green complexes at Royal Dornoch. Five-time British Open champion Tom Watson is an honorary member of Royal Dornoch, and is quoted as saying of Dornoch: "It's the most fun I've ever had on a golf course." While no professional majors have been staged on the layout, Royal Dornoch was the host site of the 1985 Amateur Championship won by Garth McGimpsey. It also staged the R&A Senior Amateur and Senior Women's Amateur competitions in 2022.

National Golf Links of America

Southampton, N.Y. June 7-9, 2030

National Golf Links of America, opened in 1911, is one of the country's true gems, a C.B. Macdonald design that hosted the first Walker Cup Match in 1922 and again hosting the competition in 2013. This will be the first Curtis Cup ever contested on the layout, which is located adjacent to Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, site of five previous U.S. Opens. Shinnecock will host both the U.S. Open and U.S. Women's Open Presented by Ally in 2029. Many of Macdonald's holes were derived from venues he had visited in Great Britain. It is called National Golf Links because its 67 founding members were from all parts of the country. The clubhouse was designed by founding member Jarvis Hunt.
