Saucon Valley

Saucon Valley Country Club

Saucon Valley Country Club’s Old Course was designed by Herbert Strong and opened in 1922. Revisions were completed by William Gordon, Perry Maxwell and most recently Tom Marzolf from the Fazio Group in 2008. Saucon Valley’s historic 850-acre facility also features the Weyhill Course and the Grace Course, named for Eugene Grace, club patriarch and former chairman of Bethlehem Steel. Both layouts were designed by the father-son team of William and David Gordon; Weyhill was renovated by Tom Fazio in 2010, and Grace was restored by Andrew Green in 2014. The club, which also includes a six-hole course for juniors and novice players, is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.

Chambers Bay

Chambers Bay

The Robert Trent Jones Jr. design, which opened in 2007, traverses a rugged landscape along Puget Sound. The 250-acre course, built on the site of a former sand-and-gravel mining operation, is the centerpiece of a 930-acre park owned by Pierce County. The 2028 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball will be the 31st USGA championship held in the state of Washington. The Evergreen State most recently hosted the 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball at The Home Course in Dupont, which will also serve as the stroke play co-host during the Four-Ball in 2028 and will host the 2024 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur at Broadmoor Golf Club in Seattle later this summer.

Woodmont

Woodmont Country Club

Rockville, Md. July 17-22, 2028

While Woodmont traces its roots to 1913, the club moved to its current location in 1950. Alfred Tull designed the courses, with input and assistance from Woodmont member Leopold Freudberg and superintendent Rudy Will. Since then, Woodmont has gone through several renovations with the most recent a major redesign of the North Course in 2018. This past year, a renovation of the South Course was completed. Golf course architect Joel Weiman created a unique layout with a complete bunker re-construction, expansive fairway and teeing grounds that offer multiple options and angles, and revisions to all 18 greens with updated turf varieties making it unlike anything else in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Sand Valley

Sand Valley Resort (The Lido)

Sand Valley Resort features five acclaimed golf courses. The Lido, the primary course for the 2026 U.S. Mid-Amateur and the 2029 U.S. Junior Amateur, is a private club that welcomes limited resort play. It is an exacting re-creation by Tom Doak and Brian Schneider, with the Renaissance Golf team, of the legendary links originally designed by inaugural U.S. Amateur champion Charles B. Macdonald on Long Island that opened for play in 1917. The new Lido course opened for play earlier this year. The original course on Long Island was repurposed by the U.S. Navy during World War II and closed in 1942. Doak and Schneider worked with golf historian and software designer Peter Flory, utilizing historical surveys, engineering records and photographs to guide the project.

Colorado Golf Club

Parker, Colo. July 22-27, 2030

Colorado Golf Club, in Parker, will return to the USGA championship calendar by hosting the 2030 U.S. Junior Amateur. The club previous was the host site for the 2019 U.S. Mid-Amateur, where Australian Lukas Michel became the first international champion, defeating Joseph Deraney in the 36-hole final. The club also hosted the 2010 Senior PGA Championship won by Tom Lehman, and the 2013 Solheim Cup, won by the United States. Designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, the club opened for play in 2006. The 1,700-acre property was originally an Arabian horse ranch, and features views of Colorado's Front Range. The course plays through open meadows, foothills of ponderosa pine, natural gullies and streams.

Pinehurst Resort & C.C.

Following the monumental announcement in 2020 of the establishment of "Golf House Pinehurst" and the first U.S. Open Anchor Site at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club, the USGA has announced that Pinehurst will serve as the host for six more prestigious USGA championships in the coming years. These events include the 2027 U.S. Women’s Amateur, 2032 U.S. Junior Amateur and U.S. Girls’ Junior, 2038 U.S. Amateur, 2044 U.S. Women’s Amateur and a future U.S. Adaptive Open. The 2027 and 2044 U.S. Women’s Amateurs and 2038 U.S. Amateur will be held on Pinehurst No. 2, with the remaining championship’s courses to be determined at a later date.

Whistling Straits is owned and operated by Kohler Co. and is one of two golf facilities, along with Blackwolf Run – host of the 1998 and 2012 U.S. Women’s Opens – associated with the luxury public golf resort in Kohler. Sculpted along the shoreline of Lake Michigan north of Sheboygan County, the Whistling Straits courses are Pete and Alice Dye designs that pay homage to the experience of Irish links golf.

Ridgewood

The Ridgewood Country Club

The A.W. Tillinghast design, which uses holes from the East, Center and West nines, will follow up a successful U.S. Amateur in 2022 with the first of three USGA championships. This will be the first U.S. Junior Amateur contested at Ridgewood. Jerry Pate (1974) and Sam Bennett (2022) won U.S. Amateurs at Ridgewood. Lee Trevino won the 1990 U.S. Senior Open, J. Clark Espie captured the 1957 U.S. Senior Amateur and Eun Jeong Seong started her remarkable 2016 USGA season by winning the U.S. Girls' Junior. She would win the U.S. Women's Amateur a couple of weeks later at Rolling Green outside of Philadelphia. Since 2000, a renovation led by Gil Hanse has restored Ridgewood to its Tillinghast roots. The 2042 U.S. Amateur also is headed to Ridgewood. In 1935, Ridgewood hosted the Ryder Cup Matches, and the PGA Tour has also visited on several occasions.

Sunriver Crosswater Course

Sunvriver, Ore. July 21-26, 2036

Sunriver (Ore.) Resort in the central part of the state will be hosting its sixth USGA championship and first U.S. Junior Amateur in 2036. The adjacent Meadows Course will serve as the stroke-play co-host. The Meadows Course was the site for the 2002 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links, won by Annie Thurman (now Young) as well as the 2007 U.S. Senior Women's Amateur, won by Anna Schultz. It is hosting the U.S. Adaptive Open in 2027 and 2028. The Crosswater Course, designed by Bob Cupp, water is a heathland-style course situated on 600 magnificent acres of woodlands and carefully preserved wetlands. Featuring five tee placements for each hole, as well as bent grass fairways and greens, Crosswater threads by the gently flowing Deschutes and Little Deschutes Rivers. In fact, depending on tee selection, the rivers may come into play as often as seven times in a round. The course previously hosted the PGA Professional Championship as well as the NCAA Men's Division I Championships. Crosswater is a private golf course exclusively reserved for club members and resort guests.

Erin Hills

Erin, Wis.

Erin Hills joins a list of 13 other courses that have hosted or will host the U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Open, U.S. Amateur and U.S. Women’s Amateur. The course played host to the first U.S. Open in the state of Wisconsin in 2017 when Brooks Koepka won the first of his two consecutive titles. Erin Hills also was the site of the 2011 U.S. Amateur, where Kelly Kraft defeated Patrick Cantlay, 2 up, in the 36-hole final.  "Erin Hills has proven itself as an exceptional venue for USGA championships, and we are thrilled to bring these five events to this iconic course,” said Mark Hill, managing director, Championships. “The natural beauty and challenging layout of Erin Hills make it the perfect stage for golfers to showcase their talent and determination."

Bandon Dunes

Bandon Dunes Golf Resort

Bandon, Ore.

The resort will host both the U.S. Women’s Amateur and U.S. Amateur in 2032 and again in 2041, marking the first time those two original USGA championships will be contested on the same site in the same calendar year. It will host the 2037 U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball and U.S. Amateur Four-Ball. The resort will also host the U.S. Junior Amateur and U.S. Girls’ Junior in 2045, which will mark the fourth time those championships will be conducted at the same facility in the same year. The agreement also includes the 2028 Walker Cup Match and the 2038 Curtis Cup Match.
