Qualifying Qualifying over 18 holes will be held at 27 sites between Aug. 16 and Sept. 14.
2022 Championship Shelly Stouffer became the fourth Canadian to win a U.S. Senior Women's Amateur title with her 4-and-3 triumph over Sue Wooster, of Australia, in the 18-hole final at Anchorage (Alaska) Golf Course. This was the first USGA championship to be conducted in Alaska and the last of the 50 U.S. states to host a USGA event. It was Wooster's third loss in a USGA final in the last five years. Fast Facts This is the first of two USGA championships to be contested at Troon C.C. over the next couple of years. The club will host its second U.S. Mid-Amateur in 2025 with Troon North serving as the stroke-play co-host. It was also the late Tom Weiskopf's first foray into golf course design.
Troon Tidbit George Mack, the father of three-time U.S. Senior Women's Amateur champion Lara Tennant, was an original member of Troon C.C. Mack, who often caddies for his daughter, is no longer a member.
